Beautiful square and iconic building and architecture here. You can go into the building for free to view the square from the ballroom. Full review by lisstravelsalot

The town hall square in Riga is a beautiful little square with the highlight being the house of the Black Heads which is truly beautiful. Well worth going to see both in the day and lit up at night. Full review by ldgp14

I have found Rīga to be very beautiful and fun to walk around. We loved the old town, and also the beautiful and surprising art nouveau architecture. We took a boat ride also, and enjoyed it, although this ride was on the expensive side. We eat at great restaurants that served local food, and really loved the food, and the prices were very reasonable. We visited in the summer, therefore, I am not sure how the same experience will be in winter time. Maybe a local person can chime in.
