Clarksville is a town in northern Coös County, New Hampshire, United States. The population was 294 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Berlin, NH-VT Micropolitan Statistical Area. The area was originally known as "Dartmouth College Grant" and was part of a tract granted to Dartmouth College; sections were sold off by the college to raise money. It was purchased by Benjamin Clark of Boston and Joseph Murdock of Norwich, Vermont. The first census taken was in 1830, at which time there were 88 residents. It was incorporated in 1853, and renamed Clarksville in 1872 for the Clark family.
