Nice wide beach with clean fine sand. Very nice to walk on. Lots of coconut trees on the edge so please be mindful of falling coconuts (never seen any fall in my many visits). Very well patrolled in …Full review by 76alicef

A:
We didn't have any problems either at sunrise or sunset. We walked up the beach at both times of day to go swimming in the swimming enclosure.

Yes you can swim on 4 mile beach and Thala beach June - - October (no stingers or crocs) but it is very shallow, very windy and the water is kinda murky and brown at the moment …

Yes you can swim on 4 mile beach and Thala beach June - - October (no stingers or crocs) but it is very shallow, very windy and the water is kinda murky and brown at the moment due to high winds and stormy days so it is not very inviting!

A:
The Daintree is a reasonable distance from 4 Mile Beach - about an hours drive further north. I've never seen horses on the beach and doubt they are allowed, but don't know for sure.

Yes we where warned about stingets awhillie checking into our resort.and we saw a crocodile in the inlet so we reported it to our resort but beach beautiful on a cloudy day but just becareful

Both times are great. Brilliant sunrises for photos.
