For those who appreciate history, the Old City Quarter is a vast treasure trove just waiting to be explored. With buildings dating from the late 1800s to early 1900s, the architecture alone is enough… Full review by PookyCake

Interesting local shops and restaurants in this quarter make it a nice place to visit. It didn’t seem overly hectic, just a nice relaxed pace. None of the shops are chains which is a nice change. Gre… Full review by alli785

So excited to be visiting your area from a cruise ship next year! I read there are free shuttles as well as it being close enough to walk - -about how far is it it to walk back to the ship from OCQ? Also -- what time to the stores open? We will be docking about 7am and not sure if we should take our tour to the falls first and then visit OCQ on our way back??? Thank you for your help.

Greetings! Stores in the OCQ generally open earlier for our cruise ship visitors, about 9 am and some regular hours at 10. Walking from the OCQ to waterfront is only 10-15 min. Although the cruise ship terminal would be longer at about 1/2hr. Shuttles run all day long and can be met at stops throughout the area. If your falls tour leaves first thing in the morning, that might be best and join us for lunch and shopping afterwards. There are a variety of restaurants, cafes and unique boutiques in this area! We look forward to welcoming you! Don't hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions! Happy cruising!

We are a group of 10 arriving by cruise ship in September. We only have about 4 hours between 10 to 2, so we are thinking that we will not be bothered with a tour. Can you tell me if we dock close enough to the town so that we could walk there, in particular to the Old City Quarter that you mentioned in your review? Is public transportation easy if we have to take a bus? Thank you for your comments, and any suggestions that you have for us as to how to spend the 4 hours. If you think a tour is better for us, do you have suggestions as to which tour operator we should use. Thanks again.
